Sobre as pessoas - ou pronomes pessoais do caso reto

I want to talk about things that I've noticed that are difficult or confuse for my friends who are learning portuguese. First of all, I need to talk about who makes the actions of the verbs! In portuguese there are 6 persons:
  • first person singular - eu
  • second person singular - tu
  • third person singular - ele, ela, você
  • first person plural - nós
  • second person plural - vós
  • third person plural - eles, elas, vocês

And here I found three difficulties.
  • 'tu' and 'você' means 'you', but there are different verb forms for them. Which is the better form depends on the place you are, but any brazilian can understand both, so, just choose one and don't worry about that. As I am from São Paulo, I will always use 'você'. It is exactly the same with 'vós' and 'vocês'.
  • 'it' doesn't exist in portuguese. So, to talk about stuff and animals, you will use 'ele' (he) or 'ela' (she).
  • at spoken informal language, 'você' sounds like 'cê'. At the internet language, 'você' is 'vc'.

The person defines which verb form you will use.

I think it is all about persons I remember now! :-)

Tchauzinho, beijos.
